Congratulations to Manuel Rivera (Karen EDGE Fellow) on successfully hosting Algebraic Structures in Topology, a conference held in San Juan, Puerto Rico from May 30th to June 3rd, 2022.

This one-week conference highlighted recent advances in algebraic topology and related fields. The guiding theme was the use of algebraic and categorical structure to better understand geometric contexts. By bringing together mathematicians from diverse subfields in algebraic topology, who use similar techniques to achieve different goals, conference participants fostered new ideas and perspectives. The event featured invited talks, mini-courses, contributed talks, and time for informal interactions in a relaxed and tropical atmosphere.
