The Mount Holyoke College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for tenure-track faculty members from all fields of mathematics and statistics to begin in Fall 2024. These positions are open-rank, ideally with one at the assistant professor level and a senior hire at the associate or full professor level who is interested in mentorship and leadership in the department. One position is in statistics, while the others are open to mathematicians, statisticians, or data scientists.
Qualifications include a doctorate in mathematics, statistics, or a related field, completed or anticipated by Fall 2024; a commitment to teaching and scholarship in a liberal arts environment; and evidence of classroom effectiveness. Mount Holyoke College seeks candidates with sustainable research programs who are committed to the intellectual life of the college, broadly defined, and who have an active interest in working with undergraduates on research projects.
